5 things that are wasting your time every day
Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, I am hoping that I can give you some insights about something that you are ignoring in your routine.
Some of us have a routine and some of us don’t. Regardless of this, we tend to make some common mistakes or ignorance that cause us the waste of our most valuable asset, TIME.

- Pointless scrolling over Social media platforms
I know it is a need of today’s world to stay connected and updated, but at what cost? We are unknowingly wasting our time watching things which others are doing in their free time. Moreover, this benefits them in earning money and leads them to live meaningless lives. The Fear of missing out (FOMO) is eating our time tremendously.
2. Not planning the day and just going with the flow
Trust me if we are not having even a rough plan for our day, we are wasting the whole day. Let’s look at it this way, I am planning a day with a focus on four things I should do that day, and then at the end of the day, I will be having satisfaction of completing 4 productive things at least. However, on an unplanned day, I might be doing 4 productive things but they might not be aligned with my current priorities. This way, my 4 priority things will be delayed by one more day leading me to be more restless about them.
3. Too much entertainment
We tend to use all our free time watching TV, playing video games, engaging in unproductive stuff on social media, etc. We never restrict our fun time to keep a balance in our routine. Too much entertainment is also not good, if I develop a habit of watching a movie every day, then I will feel restless when I will not get to watch one. Having some rest time is important but it should relax you and reboost you with good energy. If you have an addiction towards something, it will only waste your time.
4. Cluttering
If you are one of them or are in one of the phases where you are unable to keep your things organised, then you must get rid of this. You are wasting your time by just putting anything anywhere. It might seem pointless or not significant but look at it this way, in such a room where all the things are not in their places then whenever you are looking for something you will end up searching it everywhere.
5. Checking phone repeatedly
This is everyone’s habit today, and I can't blame anyone for this. Life has become so digital that we are bound to keep everything on our phones. But this should not affect our habits, we can keep a check on ourselves to not do it a lot. It is quite impossible to do since we are communicating all the time with everyone on the phone, using social media, working through the phone, and taking calls. So, what we can do is to train our brains to not look at the phone all the time. We can restrict unnecessary notifications and set out time to be social.
If you value your time as much as I do, so don't waste on something you don't intend to do.
Thank you for your valuable time.
