Power of Having a Schedule
Most people need to be made aware of the fact that having a schedule can transform their whole life in a meaningful manner. We all have been scolded for having an early morning routine by our elders and yet here we are, not even understanding its importance. We are trapped in thinking about so much but never get ourselves to do anything. I know you all have read about it so many times, but have you understood the reasons why having a schedule has now become a need of the hour? Have a look at my reasons for having a schedule:
- Mental peace: We keep nagging about the stress we are having in our lives but we never work on it. The fast pace of our lives has made us so habitual of taking stress. When we have a scheduled routine it enables us to save time for relaxing and resting adequately. A calm and peaceful mind then will be of better use and we can then be more focused on our priorities.
- Being relevant: Believe it or not, we all are in the race to keep ourselves relevant. And why not, it is important to be relevant in this fast-changing world. Now you might be wondering how is this related to scheduling a routine. Having a schedule helps in getting things done; whether you are doing some source of upskilling yourself, or managing your home along with your work life, it may be having some me time or maybe finding time for the family. When you have dedicated time for most of the things you want to do in order to be there for your family and to keep yourself ready for professional life, then you will always find yourself relevant. You will never miss out on your personal life events that matter to you. You will always have the confidence to talk about new things with people around you since you might already be updated about the new trends.
- Getting rid of procrastination: When we try to make a habit of doing certain sets of things every day or regularly, then we stop procrastinating them. It comes naturally to us. This way we can organically include the necessary things in our lives and become more efficient.
- Enhancing health: When you have sufficient time for your everyday priorities and when you work according to priorities then by the end of the day your to-do list gets sorted. This gives you so much relaxation and positive energy to move ahead for upcoming challenges. Having a schedule helps in instilling good habits that help us and eradicating bad habits that do not serve us.
- Learning how to prioritise: At all times of our lives, there are instances where we find ourselves getting piled up by work and nothing is being finished. This gives a feeling of incompleteness and also the time gets wasted. Instead, when we schedule our priorities then it becomes naturally possible to complete each of them or most of them on time. Anyways, we can not do everything, but what we can do is to prioritise the things and then work accordingly.
You must give it a thought too! Try to develop a schedule even a random start can give you a push to make a good schedule. Try to instill only useful things, and eliminate all the things that waste your time. Save your time as much as possible and utilise it in a better place! All the best!
